IMG Legal Action led by BAPIO (British Association of Physicians of Indian Origin)

International Medical Graduates in the UK who are either already in training programmes or those who have passed PLAB and are waiting for jobs are marching in protest of the new change in Immigration rules which requires a work permit for taking up or continuing in a training post. This affects all IMGs and is totally unfair since it comes into effect from July 2006

Name: IMG Protest March
Location: United Kingdom

We are International Medical Graduates, who have passed PLAB, and are trying to get fair treatment. Many of us are already here in the UK and are in training posts, but are being treated unequally

Bus from Eastham for PPUDs

Richmond House (the building with the courtyard in front of it) We have arranged two buses from Eastham to take unemployed PLABdoctors to the venue of our demonstration on 21st and back. Time: 09.20 hours Pick up point: Bus stop opposite Eastham tube station This free service is only for unemployed doctors. It is on a firstcome first served basis. Each bus has a capacity of 53, which means we will be able to take 106 doctors to the venue and back. Please make sure that you are at the pick up point in plenty of time.

Why don't you guys get HSMP ? Most of you would be eligible for that right ? Well it would only help if fresh comers from India are blocked as these guys would conduct more and more exams and flood the country with Indian aspirants which would make all your life difficult.
