IMG Eastham meeting

Dear friends,Just came back from eastham after a very successful get together of IMGs from different countries (indian subcontinent,african & ukraine to name a few)There was about 250 people from different backgrounds including ppuds and employed doctors of various grades.People travelled from birmingham,oxford and outscirts of london apart from those from eastham and inner london.There was media presence in the form of Times on sunday reporter and photographer.Those who attended and led the discussions includes Drs Sathish Mathew,Gopal,Prabh,Prasanna,Mahadeo Bhide,Swamy ,Jagadish and many many other energetic young women and men who made us believe that we shall overcome this hurdle some way. The date of the peaceful demonstration is fixed as 21st of AprilFriday between 10-12:30.Now that we have a fixed date all of us can plan ahead and arrange our schedules.The participants adjourned with the feeling in their heart and the song on their lips.....we shall overcome.... My message on indigo today: Dear friends, As expected we had an excellent turn out in East Ham. Over 200 doctors attended the meeting. Sajayan has given the details in his earlier message. I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you who took a special effort to attend the meeting. As I have said earlier it has become a mass movement. The date of Peaceful march has been agreed. Date and time: 11.30 am Friday the 21st April 2006 Place: In front of the offices of Department of Health. I expect thousands of doctors to come for our demonstration. I on behalf of all International Medical graduates appeal to you to take part in this demonstration and make this a success.
